  摘 要:If the Universal Soil Loss Equation represents the first generation of erosion prediction technology, there are many diverse attempts to describe and quantify water erosion processes to produce the second generation of predictive models around the world.  In this semester, based on research carried out mostly at Griffith in Australia, hydrologic, and soil erosion and deposition models will be presented in the context of this international effort to develop and validate the second generation of erosion prediction technology.  This presentation will focus on the spatial variability of the infiltration capacity, and show the connection of this interpretation of the rainfall-infiltration relationship with the soil conservation service- curve number method.  This presentation will also discuss the need and benefit of considering simultaneous erosion and deposition processes, and draw on a number of case studies from south-east Asian countries, Australia, Europe, and the U.S.  

    

  报告人简介:于伯孚教授,现任澳大利亚格里菲斯大学工程院院长。1986年毕业于美国约翰斯霍普金斯(Johns Hopkins)大学地理及环境工程系,获博士学位。曾在美国陆军工程兵团(US Army Corps of Engineers)和澳大利亚国立大学任职。1992年在澳大利亚格里菲斯大学任教至今。多年来,于伯孚教授一直致力于产流过程模型和侵蚀沉积过程模型研究,在国际期刊和会议期刊发表论文百余篇,取得了丰硕的研究成果。
