报告题目：Understanding drivers and consequences of root water uptake profiles with experiments and models 

　　报  告  人: Anke Hildebrandt (Junior Professor in Friedrich-Schiller-University of Jena) 

　　报告人简介：Dr. Hildebrandt studied water resources management at Technical University of Dresden, Germany in 2000. She received her PhD in hydrology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the USA for her research on the ecohydrology of a cloud forest in Oman. From 2006-2010, she led a research group in ecohydrology at the Center for Environmental Research (UFZ) in Leipzig, Germany. Since 2010 she is an assistant professor at the Friedrich-Schiller-University of Jena. Her research concerns the role of vegetation in shaping patterns in water fluxes, and involves measurements and modelling of rainfall interception, stemflow, heterogeneity in soil moisture and root water uptake. She has authored/coauthored more than 30 peer reviewed journal publications in Water Resources Research, Journal of Geophysical Research, Geophysical Research Letters, Ecohydrology and Nature Communications etc. One of her recent papers received the “Jim Dooge” outstanding paper award of the HESS journal.
