  报告人简介:

Dr. Huilin Gao is an associate professor in Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Texas A&M University. She received her B.S. and M.S. degrees in atmospheric sciences from Peking University, and her Ph.D. degree in water resources engineering from Princeton University. Before joining TAMU, she also worked at the Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of Washington as a research associate. Dr. Gao’s research interests are hydrologic monitoring and prediction, climate change, land cover land use change, water resources management, and satellite remote sensing in hydrology. Her expertise is centered on the use of a combination of in situ observations, remote sensing, and modeling approaches to understand the impacts of a changing environment, climatic extremes, and reservoir regulation on streamflow. Dr. Gao is a recipient of the CAREER Award from the Environmental Sustainability Program of National Science Foundation, and the Gulf Research Program Early-Career Research Fellowship from the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.
